Q. What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers are soft gels that are injected into the skin to plump and rejuvenate the face. Fillers are often comprised of hyaluronic acid which attract moisture and give the treated area a more youthful appearance. 

Dermal fillers are safely injected into the skin to contour the face or add volume to lips and hollow regions on the face. When used by skilled injectors they will look natural and accentuate your unique facial features.

Q. How do dermal fillers work?

Fillers are infused with lidocaine and contains hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance in your body.

Q. How long does filler treatment take?

Q. Are there any side effects of fillers?

Dermal filler treatments are more invasive than Botox though effects are generally mild and dissipate quickly.  There is some tenderness to the area after treatment and the possibility of bruising. You may feel some soft swelling or lumps in the area of treatment but this will integrate with your own tissues often within 2 weeks. Be sure to follow your pre and post care instructions that are emailed to you upon scheduling an appointment. Limit alcohol and any blood thinners (ibuprofen or aspirin) prior to treatment to limit bleeding or bruising.
